Access Statement

Arrival
We have 300 parking spaces five of which are reserved for blue badge holders. These are located at the front of reception; another two are located in front of the leisure club. There is also a turning circle located directly outside the main entrance for dropping off and picking up only. The main entrance has a ramp to the left hand side of the main steps to enter the building along with a set of automatic doors. If you need assistance with luggage or equipment, our team of porters are on duty 24 hours.

Reception
The Reception desk is located on the ground floor of the hotel in the entrance lobby. The reception desk is 107cm / 42inc high. Our concierge team is available to help take your luggage to your room. Reception staff will also brief you on our evacuation policy and please note on your registration card if assistance is needed in the event of an evacuation. 

An evac chair is available to enable staff to assist with the emergency evacuation of disabled guests, if necessary.

To the left of the main reception are the lifts to the 1st and 2nd floor bedrooms, you will also find our leisure facilities on the first floor. Golf facilities are found out of the main door and following the path to the left. The 3rd floor is accessible by a second lift at the end of the 2nd floor corridor.

Bedrooms
Oulton Hall has two disabled rooms both of which are twin.

Bedroom Inclusions

1 bedroom interconnects to a double room.

The flooring in bedrooms is short pile carpet and the bathroom flooring is tiled. Please note, the bathroom doorway has a slight ramp elevation.

Reading lamps are provided.

One room contains a walk in shower (not a wet room) and the other contains a bath.

Room service is 24 hours.

Items of furniture can also be moved or removed on request.

There are grab rails in the bathroom.

Emergency pull cords link directly to reception from the bathroom.

Horizontal and vertical grab rails are positioned at the side of the toilet

In the event of an emergency a member of the team will assist with your evacuation if necessary. Fire evacuation advice is provided on the back of your bedroom door.

Public areas
Our main hotel restaurant, The Calverley Grill, Champagne Bar and Drawing Room lounge facilities in the main Hotel are located on the ground floor on the same level making them easily accessible. The leisure club is located on the first floor serviced by a lift.

Our second restaurant The Claret Jug is just a two minute walk away from the main hotel.

Accessible toilet facilities are located adjacent to Reception, in the events/function areas and in the leisure club & spa.

Conference, Banqueting & Meeting Rooms
Some meeting rooms are on the first floor and are accessed via the lifts or staircase to the left of reception. We also have meeting rooms in the main hotel and in The Claret Jug. This is located a short distance from reception along a corridor or steps or a two minute walkway from the main building. There is also a change in level between the hotel and event rooms accessed by a small number of steps or by lift.

Accessible toilets are located at the ground floor and first floor of the Claret Jug.

Leisure & Spa
The leisure club is located on the first floor and is accessible via lift from the ground floor. The Leisure Club may also be accessed via an external ramp to the side entrance. A member of the leisure team will show you the facilities and assist with access to the swimming pool and spa.

A dedicated accessible toilet and changing area is located within the leisure club, as well as a wheel in shower room with drop down seat and appropriate grab rails. Access to poolside is on the same level and there are steps with a handrail into the pool. A disabled treatment room is accessible on the same level with a walk in shower room with drop down seat and grab rail.

Outdoor Facilities
The terraces are located through the Champagne Bar by way of steps or alternatively by the side of the building for main reception or through the Repton Room for same level access.

We also have a 27 hole championship golf course. The Golf pro shop and changing rooms are located on the ground floor of the Claret Jug all on the same level. Golf buggies, electric trolleys and manual trolleys are all available for hire (subject to availability).

Alternative means of transport
If not travelling by car, the nearest bus stop is located on the main road just outside the grounds. Bus routes from these stops travel between Leeds and Wakefield.

The nearest train station is located at Woodlesford, three minutes drive or 15 minute walk from the hotel. The trains at this station travel between Leeds and Sheffield.
